Students are also affected by racism and discrimination. Right-wing extremist attacks are just the tip of the iceberg. The problems are manifold, but are often not recognised by the public. The fzs (free association of student organisations) has been organising the fclr together with the Federal Association of Foreign Students (BAS) e.V. since 2005.

More safe spaces, anti-discrimination centres and training opportunities are needed. Even if students report experiences of discrimination, these are often not taken seriously and thus remain without consequences. We, the AStA of the University of Greifswald, want to ensure more visibility, which is why the week is characterised by workshops and seminars, as well as film screenings.
