Information on the data and legal security of online voting

The online election is carried out via two instances.

The voter register is managed by the university's e-administration and the University Computer Centre. This means that all personal data remains within the university. The university is authorised to process this data for the purpose of the election.

The actual voting takes place via the uniWAHL programme from the third-party provider ElectricPaper, with whom the university cooperates for the election. No voter data is sent to the third-party provider for voting. The principle of secret ballot is guaranteed in the electronic election - the votes cast cannot be assigned in any way. The election is audit-proof. Electronic voting is legally secure and equivalent to voting by ballot.
Further information on the uniWAHL programme can be found on the website of the third-party provider.

All information exchanged between the university and the third-party provider is end-to-end encrypted.

    Electronic electoral register

All voters are listed in the electoral register in accordance with the electoral regulations. The student body uses the university's electoral system.

You have the opportunity to view your entry in the electoral register here and have any errors changed if necessary.
To do this, check your entry and contact the election management by email!

    Election regulations

The legal basis for the elections is the electoral regulations of the student body. They regulate the entire election process, from the appointment of the electoral bodies, the submission of election proposals to the appearance of the ballot papers, in conjunction with the student council regulations, the number of members of the committees to be elected and disputes. In addition to this, the general student council regulations provide information on which subjects are assigned to which student councils.
