Student Parliament

The tasks of the student parliament are set out in § 5 of the statutes of the student body. These include in particular

1. to adopt the statutes of the student body and its supplementary regulations,
2. electing the president of the student parliament and their deputies,
3. elect the budget committee of the student parliament,
4. elect the chairperson of the AStA and their representatives (officers),
5. elect the members of the Media Committee,
6. to decide on the discharge of the members of the AStA, the manager of the student media and their deputies,
7. elect the student members of the University of Greifswald to the Supervisory Board, the Cultural Committee and the Canteen Committee of the Student Services Greifswald,
8. elect the Greifswald representatives to the State Conference of Student Bodies (LKS),
9. adopt the annual budget plan and monitor its implementation,
10. to elect the auditors,
11. elect the examiners for factual and arithmetical correctness,
12. to decide on the organisation of a ballot or the convening of a general assembly, and
13. to regularly inform the student body about the work of the student parliament and the decisions made by the student parliament.
