Radio 98eins

It's 7pm in the evening: time to switch on radio 98eins again this semester and enjoy four hours of our programme! Jazz, blues, electro, but also hits, metal, hip hop and funk - all this is on "Besser am Abend". We also have an extensive cultural programme: every day, our editors provide you with interesting facts from the region as well as news from the regional and national culture and literature scene. The programme is regularly supplemented with our own radio play productions, concert recordings and radio readings. Our entertaining talk and comedy programmes also ensure a varied and good atmosphere in the evening.

Around 90 volunteers, including students, freelance journalists and radio enthusiasts from Greifswald, are involved in creating the programme.

Every evening, they ensure the acoustic well-being of our listeners in Greifswald and the surrounding area. The local radio station, which has developed from the former festival radio station of the Greifswald International Student Festival (GrIStuF) into the largest non-commercial local radio station in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has been broadcasting its programme for thirteen years.
