Survey on sexual discrimination and violence (SDG)

We want to break the silence!

Sexual discrimination, harassment and violence exist everywhere and unfortunately also at our university. Europe-wide data on this has been available since the UniSAFE 2022 survey at the latest. More than 60% of the 42,000 participating employees and students have already experienced gender-based violence and only 13% of these cases were reported.

We would like to use this survey to obtain a database on gender-based violence at the University of Greifswald and use it to develop measures to combat the existing circumstances. In particular, we want to find out in what form, frequency, where and by whom sexual discrimination and violence (SDG) is experienced or observed at our university of applied sciences (UAS). SDG is also often referred to as sexual harassment and includes any physical, psychological or verbal behaviour of a sexual nature that is perceived as transgressive by the person concerned.

We encourage all students to take part in the survey in order to obtain the most meaningful results possible. Participation in the survey is voluntary and all data will be collected anonymously. Very sensitive topics about personal experiences of sexual assault will also be asked. If you do not feel comfortable with this, please skip the questions or cancel the survey if necessary. If you have any questions, please contact: asta_soziales@uni-greifswald.de.
