Der Informationsabend richtet sich an Menschen, die sich im freiwilligen Engagement für Geflüchtete einsetzen oder einsetzen möchten. Neben der Präsentation verschiedener Initiativen in Greifswald wird es Gelegenheit zum Austausch und Vernetzen geben. Danach folgt eine dreistündige Fortbildung des Flüchtlingsrats M-V e.V. für Ehrenamtliche und Interessierte zum Thema Einführung in das Asylrecht.
Die Fortbildung thematisiert Daten und Fakten zu Fluchtursachen, Herkunftsländern und Fluchtwegen. Man erfährt, wie Asylverfahren in Deutschland ablaufen, wie lange sie dauern können und was am Ende eines Asylverfahrens entschieden wird. Lebensunterhaltsfragen werden ebenso thematisiert wie Unterbringungs-, Gesundheits- und Integrationsfragen. Nicht zuletzt soll es noch um Zuständigkeiten und die Chancen sowie die Grenzen des Ehrenamts gehen. Für Getränke und einen kleinen Imbiss ist gesorgt. Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei.

The information evening is aimed towards people who are involved in voluntary work for refugees or would like to do so. In addition to the presentation of various initiatives in Greifswald, there will be an opportunity for exchange and networking. This will be followed by a three-hour training course organised by the Flüchtlingsrat M-V e.V. (Refugee Council M-V) for volunteers and interested persons on the topic of introduction to asylum law.
The training will focus on data and facts about the causes of migration, countries of origin and migration routes. The participants learn how asylum procedures work in Germany, how long they can take and what is decided at the end of an asylum procedure. Questions of livelihood are addressed as well as questions of accommodation, health and integration. Last but not least, responsibilities and the opportunities and limits of voluntary work will be discussed. Drinks and a snack will be provided. Participation is free of charge.
